Bektemir Ysmailov holds a Ph.D. in Finance degree from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln and a B.Sc. in Finance degree from the University of Northern Colorado. During his doctoral studies he was a Visiting Scholar at the Ross School of Business, University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. His research interests lie in the areas of Empirical Corporate Finance, Cash Holdings, Capital Structure, Corporate Governance, and Labor Finance. He was an asset manager for a multi-million dollar student-run portfolio at the University of Northern Colorado. He passed the CFA Level I and Level II exams.
