Assem Kablan

Teaching Assistant

Assem Kablan is currently an Academic Associate with Nazarbayev University’s Graduate School of Business. Prior to joining the NUGSB team, she was a Project Manager of ‘Eco-Village Kazakhstan’ sponsored by Chevron Corp. in collaboration with NURIS. She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Nazarbayev University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Karaganda State University. During her bachelor studies, Assem was a coordinator of English Debate League and had an academic exchange program in Business Administration at Fontbonne University, St. Louis, Missouri. Assem’s interests include start-ups, marketing and investments. Her hobby is to lead an active lifestyle through sports, and traveling.

Aiman Yedigeyeva

Teaching Assistant

Aiman Yedigeyeva is currently an Academic Associate with Nazarbayev University’s Graduate School of Business. Prior to joining the NUGSB team, she was an Analyst at Oliver Wyman (leading global strategic consultancy) projects (Central Asia); Management Consultant (to develop international markets entry strategies) for Recognition PRO™ (USA); and Financial Analyst at maintenance service subcontractor, ENI (Kazakhstan). She holds BSc (Hons) in Business Administration and Accounting, KIMEP; MSc in Economics, Finance and Management, University of Bristol (UK) under “Bolashak” Presidential Scholarship Program; and has received training in leadership, negotiation, entrepreneurship and business strategy from Lee Iacocca’s Institute (USA). Aiman’s interests include social entrepreneurship, making positive change in her community and reading.

Yerken Arystan

Research Assistant

Yerken Arystan is currently an Academic Associate with Nazarbayev University’s Graduate School of Business. Prior to joining the NUGSB team, he was an Auditor at Ernst & Young LLP; Tax Consultant at Deloitte TCF LLP; passed internship at Department of Accounting, Bank CenterCredit; and worked as an Academic Associate at KIMEP University’s Bang College of Business concentrating on the fields of accounting, strategy and business policy, management and marketing, introduction to business. He holds an MBA in Accounting, KIMEP University; B.Sc. in Business Administration and Accounting, KIMEP University; and has received training in business communications, leadership and negotiation, entrepreneurship and corporate strategy from the university. Yerken’s hobbies and interests include sport, innovations, equipment and technologies.

Rustem Sadykov

Rustem Sadykov

Teaching Assistant

Rustem Sadykov is currently an Academic Associate with Nazarbayev University’s Graduate School of Business. Rustem has recently joined the PhD program in Finance at the Stockholm School of Economics. Prior to joining the NUGSB team, he was a manager at the Development Bank of Kazakhstan; senior expert at the Economic Research Institute under the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning; international news editor at the “Kazakhstan” TV Corp., and participated in youth politics.
He holds a MPA with a Finance specialization, New York University; MSc (Hons) and BSc (Hons) in Political Science, Eurasian National University; and has received training in finance and banking (Stern School of Business) and macroeconomics (Joint Vienna Institute/ IMF).
Rustem’s interests include mathematical finance, economic modelling, monetary policy, oil economics, and corporate strategy. His hobbies are chess, intellectual games, guitar, and French.

Zarema Sadvakassova

Zarema Sadvakassova

Zarema Sadvakassova is currently an Academic Associate with Nazarbayev University’s Graduate School of Business. Prior to joining the NUGSB team, she was a Product Marketing manager at Samsung Electronics KZ and Central Asia; Marketing coordinator at Metro Cash&Carry; Marketing and Procurement manager at the JV of Kazakhstan Railways and Alstom Transport SA. She holds an MSc (Hons) in Strategic Marketing, University of Wollongong; BSS (Hons) in Public Administration, KIMEP University; and has received trainings in leadership, management and business communication from Samsung Electronics and Procter&Gamble. Zarema’s hobbies and interests include photography, design and makeup, sports, history and social sciences.

Gulzhanat Shingisova

Teaching Assistant

Gulzhanat Shingisova is currently an Academic Associate with Nazarbayev University’s Graduate School of Business. Prior to joining the NUGSB team, she was a lecturer at Eurasian National University; Finance Department Manager at FTN in London, UK. She holds an MSc in Finance and Management; Herriot-Watt University; BSc in Finance , Kazakh-British Technical University. Gulzhanat’s interests include risk management, monetary policy, oil economics, and economic regulations.

Aidana Yessengaliyeva

Teaching Assistant

Aidana Yessengaliyeva is currently an Academic Associate at NUGSB. Prior to joining the NUGSB team, she was an expert at Centre of Trading Policy Development. She holds an MSc (Hons) in Financial Engineering and Risk Management, University of Essex; BSc (Hons) in Business Administration with major in Finance, KIMEP University. Aidana’s interests include risk management, portfolio management, econometrics and derivatives.

Prior to joining the NUGSB team, he was an Educational Program manager and  Finance planner in a private company “Work and Study Abroad”; passed internship at Department of Transit Transportation, National Company Kazakhstan Temir Zholy; He holds an MSc in Economics, University of Rome Tor Vergata; B.Sc. in International Relations, Eurasian National University; Arkadiy’s hobbies and interests include american football, martial arts, game theory, corporate finance, math and teology studies.

Zhanat Jalilova

Zhanat Jalilova is currently an Academic Associate with Nazarbayev University’s Graduate School of Business. Prior to joining the NUGSB team, she was a Project Manager in PI NLA, Nazarbayev University, Astana; Economist, Karagandalift LLP, Karaganda; Export manager, Interior Design Company “Storia Moderna”, Dubai, UAE; Research Assistant, Center for Strategic Studies, Eastern Meditterranean University, Northern Cyprus; JSC “NURSAT”, Finance division, Logistics department, Almaty. She holds an MSc in Economics,Eastern Meditterranean University, Famagusta, TRNC; BS in Management, Suleyman Demirel University, Almaty. Zhanat’s interests include in economics, econometric, statistics. Her hobbies and interests include charity activities, reading, intellectual and mathematical games, foreign languages, traveling.

Yernar Baktiyarov

Yernar is currently an Academic Associate with Nazarbayev University’s Graduate School of Business. Prior to joining the NUGSB team, he worked in the department of industry and innovation of Karaganda Local State Authority for 3 years. He holds an MSc in “Accounting and Financial Management”, Henley Business School, The University of Reading. BS in “Finance”, The Karaganda State University named after E. Buketov. Yernar’s interest includes active sport games, history, travelling and photography.

Assemgul Kozhabek

Teaching Assistant

Assemgul Kozhabek is currently an Academic Associate with Nazarbayev University’s Graduate School of Business. Prior to joining the NUGSB team, she was a project manager at US General Consulate in Almaty city.Assemgul holds MSc in Engineering Business Management (with distinction) from University of Warwick, United Kingdom. Her BSc degree is in Mathematical and Computer Modelling from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. While she was studying at KazNU, she completed course on “Human Rights and Development” which was created by University College of Dublin. Also, she was elected as a coordinator of Warwick Manufacturing Group Society. Assemgul’s research interests are Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Logistics for mega-events and Strategic Planning.
