Teaching entrepreneurship in the NUGSB EMBA program has been a very rewarding experience. I teach innovation and entrepreneurship from the perspective of western companies and the western business environment. The NUGSB EMBA students are committed to learning what they can from the experience of western companies, but are continually thinking of how they can apply this experience in Kazakhstan. Working with these students, I realize that I am working with the present and future business leaders of the country. They are among the most critical students I have encountered anywhere because they view the material as not only important for their personal success but also for the success of their country. It is both challenging and exciting to work with these students and to be a small part of this vital step forward for the economy of Kazakhstan.
