Adalyat Abdumanapova, Corporate Governance Officer, Team Leader for Kazakhstan International Finance Corporation: The World Bank Group

Adalyat has more than 15 years’ professional experience in corporate law and corporate governance. She has joined International Finance Corporation in 2006 and currently leads the IFC Corporate Governance Project in Kazakhstan, advising private and quasi-state businesses on improving corporate governance practices. Adalyat specializes in corporate governance assessment, efficiency enhancement of the board of directors, corporate secretary, internal controls, corporate social responsibility and environment and social risks assessment.

Before joining IFC, Adalyat worked for PalTel International Co, a Palestinian telecommunications company and GRATA Law Firm, one of the largest legal consultancy in Kazakhstan. Adalyat holds Master of Law degree of University of Essex (UK), Bachelor degree in Economics, Management and Entrepreneurship of the International Academy of Business (Kazakhstan) and Bachelor degree in Business Law of Kazakh State Academy of Law (Kazakhstan).
