Strategy of Project Management in Practice

PM in 21st Century:
There is no any individual, organization or community which do not practice several projects at the time, so we can declare that 21st century is “the century of projects”. It does not go only for sectors which are originally project oriented, but rather for all sectors and aspects of human activities, since they all practice “management by projects”. USA Fortune Magazine marked project manager like one of the most important job in 21st century. The need for project success became essential for any company, organization or community while moving forward.

The Course short description
Through this workshop you will get information about latest project management trends particularly related to project management standards and how to direct your projects towards project management success and project success. The course focus is advancing the knowledge and skills required for developing a key PM document which define concept how to manage your projects. Such document is a ground for a project manager work, so as guarantee for a project sponsor that understanding, communicating and managing of a project is at proper level.

The participants based on their own real projects will practice the use of PM tools and methods. The course also covers integrated approach to PM competence within the organization. Senior PM level, sponsors or executives will get insight about how to design and implement successful PM model within own organization, by advancing PM competences through three levels: individuals + projects + organization.

Lecturer

MladenProf. dr. sc. Mladen Radujković is a Professor of Project Management and Construction Management at the University of Zagreb, Croatia EU, and Professor of Project Management at Alma Mater Europe University in Maribor, Slovenia, EU. In parallel he is Director of the consulting company Project, Program and Portfolio Expert. He is president of the Croatian Project Management Association (CAPM), so as one of the founders of regional PM association (SENET). During the period 2013-2014., he was president of International Project Management Association (IPMA) headquartered in Switzerland, so as IPMA vice-president in three mandates 2007-2012., while now he holds the position Chairman of the IPMA Council of Delegates. Under PM certification he holds IPMA Level B certificate and position of assessor for “IPMA 4LC”, so as USAID / Booz Allen USA ToT certificate for infrastructure projects.His research activities include head positions for 16 research projects and publishing around 200 papers mostly at the international level and about 50 in journals. . In parallel he designed and delivered around 80 seminars or workshops related to the project management topics. He delivered about 40 key note lectures at global conferences, including in Great Britain, Hong Kong, Finland, Germany, France, Slovakia, South Africa, Czech Republic, Hungary, Romania, India, Italy, Poland, Brazil, South Korea, Panama, Peru, China, Lithuania, USA, Chile, Italy, Dominican Republic, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, and Indonesia. His reference list also includes participation, consulting or management position for over of 100 different complex local or regional projects in SE Europe owned by Ilbau, Strabag, Booz Allen Hamilton USA, IPMA, Importanne, ADRIS Group, EPTISA, Ernst Young Consulting, Croatia insurance, USAID, Croatian waters, IGH, etc.

The prerequisites for the course participation: Basic knowledge about the PM.
You are asked to select and bring a case of real project you are interested in, or you are involved in, or you plan for future (basic information only).
