Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Business invites you to Research Seminar “HRM in the context of uncertainty and crisis: a systematic review of literature (2000-2018)” presented by  Assylbek Nurgabdeshov, Associate Research Professor and Director of Narxoz HR Research Center. SPEAKER: 

Dr. Assylbek Nurgabdeshov is an Associate Research Professor, and Director of Narxoz HR Research Center. Assylbek holds PhD degree in Management from the University of Sheffield, UK, MBA degree from Istanbul Sehir University and B.Sc. in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering from the Middle East Technical University, Turkey. Before taking his role at Narxoz University he had been serving as a Dean of Business School at Suleyman Demirel University, Dean of General Education Faculty at Almaty Management University and Head of Science and Innovation Sector at Kazakh British Technical University. He was a visiting lecturer at the University of Leicester, UK, Champagne School of Management, Groupe ESC Troyes, France and Riga International School of Economics and Business Administration (RISEBA), Latvia. He also works as a consultant at the Center for Strategic Initiatives.

His recent research interests have been focused around High Performance HR Practices, Strategic HRM, International HRM, Outsourcing and Offshoring of R&D activities, National Innovation System (NIS), Innovation strategy for emerging countries, knowledge transfer and sharing. His research papers are published/forthcoming in journals such as  Journal of Business Research, International Journal of Human Resource Management and Studies in Higher Education. He is a member of the Steering Committee of Central and East European Chapter, Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME), the United Nations and member of the Academy of International Business.
