Professor of the Graduate School of Business Shumaila Yousafzai presented a book about women entrepreneurs in Kyrgyzstan.
The book contains 18 unique stories of women entrepreneurs in Kyrgyzstan. Each of them is a prime example of how tourism contributes to the empowerment of women, the contribution of their activities to the economy and the preservation of the culture of the country.
The book is based on the works of scientists from the Research Center for Entrepreneurship at Nazarbayev University as part of their expedition to Kyrgyzstan.
The study was made possible thanks to a grant from Nazarbayev University, which the Graduate School of Business became the owner of in 2022. The grant is aimed at researching women's entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia. A book on the development of community tourism among women in our country will be published before the end of the year.
