NURCE shortlisted for THE Awards Asia 2026

We are delighted to share that NURCE project, “Tamyr Reflections and Tolyk Adam: reclaiming entrepreneurship as cultural identity and human flourishing”, has been shortlisted for the Times Higher Education (THE) Awards Asia 2026 in the category Research Project of the Year: Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

Selected from over 500 entries across 10 categories, the NURCE project was successfully shortlisted to the 80 finalists from 17 countries. This recognition truly significant for our community and Nazarbayev University.

The submission captured the journey of NURCE’s work from 2022–2025: narrative books co-created with entrepreneurs whose voices are often excluded, village exhibitions and public storytelling, and the 2025 innovation of Tolyk Adam—a master trainer curriculum inspired by Abai’s holistic human, co-developed with philosophers, poets, and marginalized entrepreneurs, and rooted in dignity and cultural pride.

Sincere congratulations to the team on this remarkable achievement!
Your dedication and excellence bring pride to our university community.
