This July, Tsinghua University's PBC School of Finance — China's premier finance school — brought its Belt and Road Initiative Executive MBA to the Nazarbayev University Graduate School of Business.
From July 4–6, NUGSB welcomed Executive MBA participants from Tsinghua University's PBC School of Finance — China's premier school of finance and part of a university consistently ranked among the very best in the world — for the international residency module of the Tsinghua Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) Executive MBA.
The program brings together global entrepreneurs and senior executives to explore international finance, macroeconomics, and cross-border business across BRI economies. That Tsinghua University selected NUGSB as the host for this experience is a powerful endorsement — of the quality of our faculty, the strength of our learning infrastructure, and Kazakhstan's growing significance as the strategic hub of the Belt and Road.

The residency opened with welcome remarks from Kadisha Dairova, Vice President for Student Affairs and International Cooperation at Nazarbayev University, followed by an address from Joep Konings, Dean of NUGSB, who underscored the school's ambition to serve as the region's platform for world-class academic partnerships.
At the core of the academic module, Anjan Ghosh, Assistant Professor at NUGSB, delivered a session on Understanding the Business Culture in Kazakhstan — equipping participants with the cultural insight and market knowledge essential to operating successfully in the country and the wider region.
The visit reached beyond the classroom. The delegation was received by Sayasat Nurbek, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, for a discussion on expanding collaboration in higher education, research, and academic mobility across BRI countries.
