The NUGSB Master of Science in Finance program (hereinafter – MSc in Finance) is a specialized, quantitative course of study for highly motivated individuals seeking a career in the field of finance.
MSF Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of the program, graduates should be able to:
  1. Analyze and interpret current developments and trends in financial economics, banking, and financial reporting in Kazakhstan and around the world;
  2. Apply quantitative and conceptual skills to solve problems in local and international settings faced by financial analysts, portfolio managers, bankers, corporate managers, and regulators.;
  3. Implement modern data analytics to test core concepts, estimate, and forecast future trends in local and global capital markets and corporate activities;
  4. Conduct research using the mainstream empirical research methodology in the Finance area;
  5. Lead with exceptional teamwork and collaborative skills, and communicate their knowledge and insights to specialist and general audiences clearly and unambiguously.
MSF students will typically be assessed according to the following assessment methods:

To earn the MSc in Finance degree, students must successfully:
Satisfactory application to the program.
Satisfactory completion of all required coursework with a CGPA of 2.67.
Satisfactory completion of the thesis with a minimum grade of Pass.
